It's A Wonderful Life

Guys. Freedom is here. Christmas is almost here. I'm watching White Christmas tonight. Life couldn't get much better.

That being said....It's A Wonderful Life.

Just watched it last night. 1. It's one of the most classic films of all time. 2. I'll love George Bailey until the day I die. 3. I hope my guardian angel is named Clarence.

But in all seriousness, this movie is really touching. Sometimes, but only sometimes, I wonder if I could experience something like George; seeing what the world would be like if you hadn't been in it. I don't think we all realize how many lives we touch on a daily basis. So many people's lives would be different if we were not here. I feel like people these days are so focused on how useless they are, and how much more they could do, or how great other people's lives are. I've seen people think that no one would really miss them if they left.

But this could not be a more WRONG thing.

We all effect other's lives more then we see. If it's by simply smiling to someone, or helping them out one time, or going out of our way to do something to make their life easier, then it's a difference. The world needs our short life to make it a better place for someone else. In the movie, George is stuck doing a job he hates, but he stays. Because he knows its the right thing and because he cares about the people's lives around him. He's human, and he hated to see others suffer when he could help out. The world today is seriously lacking people like this. When you have the power to help someone else, why not do it?

Personally, I've tried to become more like this, and continue to try. Taking opportunities to help someone I can. Listening to someone when they need it. Doing my best to be a happy, positive person. I like to make people laugh, because laughing is serious therapy. (Okay, sometimes I'm not that funny, but I accept pity laughs). I could not be a bigger proponent of how great it feels to help other people and make them happy. I'm happy when I make others happy. Call me crazy, but it's just how it goes.

I hope we can all realize how important we are as an individual in this small world we live in. Don't let others, like Mr. Potter, tell you that you're worthless and no one would miss you. We all have eternal worth and we have great things ahead of us!

Merry Christmas!
