And he said, Yea. (Alma 18:27)
Yea. Yes. Yeah. The weekend has so far been successful.
Friday consisted of dinner with Bestie Erika at Legends Grille. Wonderful. And then attending our very first WATERPOLO game. Waterpolo. The team we watched, well, YEAH, they were fun to watch. Let's end it there. If anything, it was an entertaining way to spend a Friday night. YEA. I also had the wonderful opportunity to finally meet THE Gentry Grossen. It's about time I say. She is, in a word, exquisite. :) YUP. Later, Erika, Audrey and Savannah Slater watched "An Affair to Remember". Don't Judge. It's a good movie. Yea.
Saturday. Audrey and Kenzi decided to get up at a decent hour and ventured to Great Harvest. And let me tell ya.....it indeed WAS a great harvest. We purchased lovely bread. And a cinnamon roll (whole wheat). Many return trips will be in the future. We returned to my apartment and made a lovely breakfast consisting of Pancakes, Orange Juice, a cinnamon roll, strawberries, AND our very own creative syrup. This brings up a story. So, while making the pancakes, we realized we had no syrup to pour on top. Problem? Yes. So we looked up recipes. Next problem. No one had corn syrup, which is a main ingredient in most syrup. So.....with the combination of lots of other recipes, and our own little creation, we made our own syrup. And, believe it or not, it worked. It wasn't perfect, but it did the job. So, I have included this recipe, in case you are as desperate as we got. :)
Kenzi and Audrey’s
Magical Syrup
Ingredients:
1 cup water
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup agave
5 dashes of cinnamon
½ tsp baking soda
About a tsp(ish) of vanilla
Directions:
In a sauce pan, on medium heat, combine water and sugars, and let dissolve. THEN, add agave and cinnamon. Stir. Then add baking soda. Stir. *Caution, it might fizz a little* Let it dissolve and bring everything to a light boil and stir occasionally for ten minutes. THEN, take off heat and let it cool for….mmm….2 ½ minutes. After, add vanilla. Stir. Let it sit for….30 seconds. Taste. Enjoy. Put on preferably tasty pancakes. Or waffles, or any other breakfast food of choice.
You are welcome to try it. :)

It was a successful venture. YES.
The rest of the day, Audrey did some good cleaning. And it felt good. And homework. Also good. And a shower. And painted her toe nails. And that was great. YEA.
When night came, Audrey went on a birthday date with one of her best friends Trevis Thomas. It was a glorious night. :) Couldn't have asked for better. :) YUP.
Tomorrow there is no school. So school friends, enjoy it. I plan to. YEAH.
Yup, yes, yeah, that's it.
