Happee Birthdae Harry!

I can just picture it now.

A woman with flaming red hair is talking away in the kitchen with an older red-haired woman and a thin silver haired woman, as they delicately place candles on a green iced cake. A small red haired girl clings to the young woman's apron as she watches the two women. Meanwhile, in the dining room, a group of men converse at the table. An older light ginger haired man, sitting next to his oldest and middle aged ginger headed sons. A distinguished, but happy looking brown haired man comments on the latest plant he just discovered, while an incredibly large, bushy, graying haired man tries to gulp down the last drops of his large ale. Two jet black haired boys and a red haired one suddenly scamper through the room into the adjoining hallway, soon followed by a small bushy haired girl who's complaining to them to play with her. Following them down the hallway, a light from one of the bedrooms lights up a section of the hallway, small voices can be heard inside. A long blonde haired woman sits cross legged on the floor, with strange root-like earrings dangling, reading a book with great animation to a small silvery haired girl who is clutching a stuffed rabbit sitting next to a curly red haired girl who is looking up at the blonde woman with eyes full of anticipation. Clearly the book is an adventure!

Walking back towards the dining room--a large roar of laughter coming from the men--then taking a left into the living room, a wonderful sight can be seen. A man with jet black hair and round thin framed glasses is seated on the plush couch, looking down at something in his hands. A brown, bushy haired woman sits to his left, leaning over and smiling at the object in his hands. A ginger-haired man sits to his right, joking about something he read in the Daily Prophet that morning about an article written commemorating The Chosen One's birthday. Harry chuckles with him, but then looks back at his hands. In his hands is a photograph, wizard photograph that is. In it, is a large group of people, from many years ago. "Can you believe how young we were?" Hermione comments, pointing to the three of them in the front of the photo. "Us? Take a look at Neville! That's proof enough that we've all changed." Ron replies, looking over Harry's shoulder now. The picture was taken a short time after the battle at Hogwarts and had everyone close to the trio, that had survived, in it. Hagrid, clearly visible in the back, waving vigorously up at them. Molly and Arthur were standing next to him, arms around each other, and smiling, but not yet with the same enthusiasm as they once had. George was standing next to them, with Angelina holding his hand, both smiling and looking over at something Seamus Finnigan, who was pointing to the outside of the frames of the picture. In the next row came Professors Flitwick, Trelawney, and...."McGonagall," Harry whispers. She had passed away a few years after the final battle. She had been a great ally and had always believed in Harry. On the opposite side of the picture, Neville and Luna Lovegood stand next to each other, Neville looking a bit confused, and Luna smiling in her unique way. Ginny stands next to her, pushing her hair back and grinning softly.
Back at the front of the picture, a young Harry, Ron and Hermione stand hand in hand, looking up, but glancing at each other every so often. Their faces show a lifetime of emotions. Anxiety, fear, exhaustion, bravery, sadness and strength. But most of all, you could tell they were relieved and happy to still have each other.

Harry leans back on the couch and stretches his arms, smiling slightly. "It's crazy to think how long it's been now huh?" He says rubbing his eyes behind his glasses. "Frankly, I've enjoyed the relaxing life of parenthood." Ron admits, yawning. Hermione just rolls her eyes.
Suddenly, the lights go out in the room and Ginny brings in the large cake, the candles illuminating the room. Everyone spills in, and starts singing a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday". The small red haired girl rushes over to Harry's side as Ginny stops in front of Harry with the cake. They finish their song, and wait anxiously as the flames dance around, shining on Harry's glasses. He looks around, gazing at each of the people he loves, amazed once again that he survived this long to see such a beautiful sight. The little girl at his side pokes him.
"Daddy, aren't you going to blow out the candles?" Everyone laughs, and Harry kisses the top of Lily's head.

He then blows out the 33 candles in one breath and everyone claps. The children all rush to follow Ginny to the dining room to get some cake. Ron puts his arm around Hermione as the three of them stand up to bring up the rear of the crowd. Harry stands next to Hermione and links on to them, watching the mass of children that surround their Grandma Weasley and Ginny.

"Happy Birthday Harry." Ron and Hermione say to him.

A Happy Birthday indeed.
