George the Velociraptor

In the darkest ages of Kansas, there existed one hero who united the Wheat Farm tribes against the evil Theodore the Apchycephalosaurus who had terrorized the Wheat Farms with his gang of trained monkey robots.  This hero was named George.
George was born a simple wheat farmer, raised on the outskirts of the local shire.  He grew up knowing the terror of Beam Brain the Construct which was the evil Theodore’s head captain of the trained monkey robot army.  Once a month, they hideous mechanical primate would arrive in the little shire to demand the monthly tribute of wheat and oil. The poor farmers and villagers would gather together what meager tribute they could offer to the evil Theodore the Apchycephalosaurus. Beam Brain would laugh maniacally and occasionally push over a young child or old woman as they walked away with the tribute. George at first was like his parent, attempting to stay as little noticed as possible and avoid the robot monkeys. This all changed that George found the magical mango tree. On that day, George was harvesting the wheat alone, his father being down with a bad case of the black lung. When he reached up to wipe the sweat off his brow, he suddenly noticed a large green leafy tree. Having lived his entire life in Kansas, the sight of a tree made him curious. He walked under the leafy boughs and a voice spoke to him. “The elders of the prairie have chosen you!” George stopped and looked around.
“What?”
“The elders of the prairie have chosen you and have brought forth the magical mango tree to grant you a wish. We do this so that you may stop the evil Theodore the Apchycephalosaurus from terrorizing our people of the Prairie. Think long and hard about what you will wish for.”
George looked down at the dirt brown trousers he had worn most of his life, his weak scrawny arms tanned in the harsh Kansas sun. To fight Theodore and Beam Brain he would need a body much more fit for fighting, especially a body that would be good to fight against a dinosaur and his robot monkey army. George smiled.
“Turn me into a velociraptor that can speak!”
And George’s wish was granted!
With his newly granted body of scale and claw, George ran back to his home to inform his parents of his mission from the elders of the prairie. At first they were astonished that their son was now in saurian form, but they understood the will of the elders could not be refused. This first task George had in mind was to free his village from the evil repressing Beam Brain the Construct.
The next month arrived and once again the villagers shuffled their way towards the wagons that would cart away their food and gain to take to feed the forces of Theodore. Beam Brain laughed as he once again pushed over the eldest woman in the village who had her hip replaced no less than 5 times. All of a sudden, George leapt forth from the wheat piled in the wagon and struck Beam Brain across the robotic monkey face. Beam Brain flew through the wall of one of the hovels and lay still. George turned to his villagers and friends who stood there in awe. “We can fight out oppressors! Rise up proud wheat farmers and fight!” With a cry, the sickles and pitch forks were raised in to the air. All of a sudden, the mechanical monkey rose from the rubble behind George and shouted, “You’ll never defeat Theodore the Apchycephalosaurus!” George turned and with the whip of his reptilian tail struck Beam Brain so hard that he flew in to the air. When the robot hit the ground, he shattered into a million pieces. And so began the rebellion.
George traveled from town to town gathering more and more of the wheat farmers, uniting the farmers and defeated the bands of robot monkeys that Theodore sent from his fortress in Hays, Kansas. Theodore sent more and more armies with his best warriors to defeat George, but alas he could not defeat scaly warrior and his giant claws on feet and his clever dinosaur mind.
Finally, on the third Thursday of November, George and the army of wheat farmers broke down the gates of the Fortress Hays and stormed the throne room. Screws and pieces of metal could be found everywhere as the robot monkey army was dismantled. Theodore found himself alone face to face with the liberator of the Wheat Farmers.
“You have fought well, never in my days have I seen someone unite the Wheat Farmers. My rule was completed but you have shattered my kingdom George!” Theodore said, with tears of anger running down his dinosaur cheeks. George puffed up his chest with pride, seeing his greatest foe debased in this fortress of power.
“Yes, it was I, George the velociraptor, who overthrew your kingdom! It was I who was sent by the prairie elders to free his people!” George laughed, not noticing Theodore lift his hand and place it on the detonator.
They say that the very next night, those stars appeared in the sky. The elders of the prairie had taken their liberator George the Velociraptor to the stars to be forever remembered by the prairie people as they sat on their porches watched the night sky.
